The goal of this article is to teach you how to set up a self-erecting tent. I has study set up a self erecting tent on my camping trip in Michigan. Before we proceed, you might be asking: what is a self-erecting tent? A self-erecting tent is a kind of camping tent that does exactly what you want it to do. The basic ideas is that the poles are designed in such a way that they naturally erect the tent the moment you bring the tent out of its case or bag. Then, all that is left to do is peg it to the ground. As much as a self-erecting tent has some good things that made me like it and go for it when I’m going for camping, there are also some shortcomings of using a self-erecting tent. You can see what users call the advantages and disadvantages of a self-erect tent here on StackExchange.
However, won’t you like a tent that sets itself up and relieves you the stress of erecting it yourself? One of the essential camping tools is a tent, of course, and it comes handy after the day adventure when it is dark and windy, there’s nothing better than sleeping in a cozy tent. So it is very necessary for you to not only bring a tent to the camp but also know how to pitch it and to the right spot. There are many types of tent available, but a self-erecting a tent is like an automatic tent that makes pegging the tent easier. You may want to read more about the advantages of dome tents at the campsite on CampingExpert.
Although I have mentioned some of the good features of a self-erecting tent, It requires quite an amount of effort to use, there are techniques you will need to develop so that you can twist the tent and fold it back into its bag. Another thing is that they are not usually big, otherwise, the poles that employ the mechanism of strings may get entangled. So basically a self-erecting tent is mostly used for kids, or during a day camping. We can conclude that for a proper and exquisite camping, a self-erecting tent may not be so desirable. However, because it serves some purposes that may meet exactly what you’ve always wanted, I have made it my goal in this article to explain in details how to set up a self-erecting tent. Here is a video you may also find helpful. It explains how you can set up and fold up a pop-up tent. Click here to watch
As the name implies, it is a self-erecting tent and it does all it needs to do by itself. The only help a self-erecting tent need is the pegs or stakes you will use to fasten it to the ground. If you don’t have an idea of what these pegs are, tent pegs are fully explained here
The self-erecting a tent or pop up tents, as it is also called, use poles that are loaded with spring so that as soon as it comes out of the bag, the poles fly off and stand. It actually takes nothing to set up a self-erecting tent; the big work is when it is now time to pack up the tent. While the normal tents can be folded into a compact size and keep in your packing bag, the pop-up tents aren’t easy to pack this way. Like I have said earlier, you need to acquire some techniques to pack up the tent. They are bulky and hard to pack.
Before we go into details on how to pack up a pop-up tent, I’ll like to recommend my favorite self-erecting tents for you:
Below is a video that also shows the ratings and reviews of some self erecting tents: Watch it here
The first thing you have to observe is that the tent remains dry. Even if it had rained on it the night before, by morning you should clean off the wetness with a dry cloth. It is not only the outside that you dry, you also dry the inside too. You can check your tent whether or not rainwater penetrates here. In addition, it is not only water that must be rid of the tent, any dirt or mud must be removed carefully and totally. Having cleaned the tent, you should allow it to get dried by air or sunlight.
The next step is to remove the stakes which you use to tether the tent to the ground. These stakes too must also be cleaned thoroughly before keeping them. Apart from the tent stakes, you will also need to remove the tarps. These tarps are usually attached to the tent so as to protect the tent from rainfall or create additional shade. The tarp should also be packed neatly and kept in a proper way.
Having removed the tent stakes and the tarps, the next thing is to fasten the two points of the tent together. This is how you do that: you stand at one end of your self-erecting tent pole in a position that it is perpendicular to the door of the tent. You then find the two high arches that form the topmost edge of the tent. It is these two points that you bring together in close contact, perhaps in one hand.
While you grab the two high arches of the tent together in one hand, you will go for the smaller arch which is at the top of the back of your tent. Then, you drag this smaller arch close to the two points already in the other hand, and then grab all the three points together.
Before you carry out this next step, you must ensure that the door of your tent is left open, so that air can pass through it when you enclose the tent. There is usually another arch point just above the tent door; you fold the front of your tent in the direction where the rest of the tent lies. At this point, your self-erecting tent will have been taking a shape of enveloping.
The steps above are the rigorous parts of folding a self-erecting tent; this next step only requires you to turn the tent upwards while you maintain a tight grip on the arches that you have brought together. After you have made it stand upright, you should then push the highest point of the tent downwards. At this stage, the tent will have been closing in itself. It is only the arches that will be left outside.
The first thing you need to do is to fold the sides on each other in downward position. After the folding over each other, you make the arches produce two circular shapes on each side by twisting it little. Then you make one of the circular sharp arches to overlap the other by pulling it, and you arrange the aches edges so that you can have a well arrange and clean folded tent.
This particular step must be done to avoid the tent from popping out after all the folding processes have been carried out. A lot of tent models have an attachment to secure the tent from popping open after folding steps have been carried out. The tent can be protected from popping out by the following: Velcro-ing, tying it shut or snapping. Few models that do not have any of this attachment must be held hard to avoid popping until you are through putting it away.
You need to be careful in placing of your well-folded tent into it circular hollow bag. The bag will be exactly the folded tent size if it is folded well as explained above. And then you dip in your tent into the bag.

I want to believe that the overall aim of this article has been thoroughly explored. By now you now understand what a self-erecting tent is, what you need to use it and the merits and demerits of this tent, as it will help you determine if it actually suits your need. I have recommended some good products that will help you. The hardest part of using this tent, which is the folding, has also been taught properly. I hope you find this article very useful. Do you really know the foods you should choose for your next camping trip? A complete camping food list is something you cannot do without when preparing for camping, and since space for your camping items may not be something you have in luxury, it is better you choose wisely the perfect foods. As you know meals that are high in calories help retain the heat inside.
The foods I have selected for you in this article range from little snacks to spicy meals, and I have done this because from experience I know what it means to pack foods you’ll eventually not eat, which may become wasteful or longing for foods you like but they’re not within your reach.
Hence, I have put this article together as a token of my own contribution to your camping adventure.
The following are the foods I have come to believe are very essential for a camping trip, and I have explored a few of them in details for solid understanding to show you why I chose them.
One of the sources of nutrients for our body is by taking the right kinds of fruits. And guess what, these fruits are much better taken when they are fresh and at room temperature, although sometimes we may consider chilling them, so as to lower the temperature in our body while we enjoy them chilled.
Since you wouldn’t want your camping to mean lack of access to nutrients, it is good you consider packing some fruits along. My own camping favorite fruit is banana. The reason is simple: bananas contain high potassium and other nutrients that ensure your body system is kept in proper condition.
More so, bananas are quick when you need something fast with which you can fill your belly and also, bananas are easy to transport. A large bunch of bananas doesn’t take much space than necessary.
Another reason why banana seems to be my favorite is that it makes a quick breakfast. Bread with peanut spread on it; putting bananas on this bread makes a very good meal to start your day with. Apart from banana, there are peaches, strawberries, pears, avocado, apple, pineapple and many more.
The vitamins provided by these fruits are also very essential for your body.
Either in the scrambled form or boiled form, you can actually eat an egg with a variety of pastries. This makes egg one important item that should be included in your list. Apart from the fact that it can be eaten with various foods, it also serves as a source of protein for you while you are camping.
However, carrying crates of eggs may not be so easy, in fact, apart from the space it will occupy, the eggs can get broken easily before you even get to the camp and they may eventually become waste.
One trick you can use when taking eggs for camping may be to scramble them into a container like a liquid, mix it properly so that the yokes dissolve totally, add the appropriate salts and then freeze it for preservation. This way, you can transport the egg easily while also preserve it.
I have included cheese on this list because of its versatility. This is what I mean, you can actually grate it over your morning meal, spread it on your afternoon dish, eat with apple or even add it to any dinner delicacy, which may be chicken, pasta and so on. All of these only require a single block of cheese.
Apart from this, you can use it in its pungent form to make juice. All you need is to heat it up. Cheese can be eaten with almost whatever you’ve got lying around.
When someone mentions chicken as a food item for camping, the first thing that comes to my mind is a barbeque chicken. When you prepare your chicken very well, it can be a delicious and wonderful meal that you feel like you’re at your dining table at home.
Chicken can be prepared in many ways: it could be shredded to spice up another dish, chopped, or cubed. In fact, you can tuck a shredded piece in between slices of bread or spice with sausage to get a yummier meal.
It can also be boiled in a soup to eat some other meals. In addition, chicken provides protein that will give you the energy needed to continue your adventure. Other alternatives to chicken are fowl, turkey. Apart from all this, you can hunt for some animals that will provide you as good a meal as chicken or more.
Another all-around food you should include in your list is beef. You can eat the beef alone while you grab some drinks, or even grind it and spice it up with spaghetti, salads, or with any other food that would have been bare and ordinary in your mouth. It is not only the ground beef that works wonder, you can also dry your beef and spice it up in another dimension to make some nice delicacies.
Apart from filling your belly with foods, snacks also help you get some crunchy foods you can eat from time to time, especially if you like to keep your mouth busy. For more nutrients, you can infuse some nutritious food in your snacks.
A few carrots, a package of cookies, crunchy-creamy snacks made with milk, peanuts, healthy carbs and some vitamins contained foods are good for making snacks at the camp.

One of the pleasurable things people derive from a camping experience is cooking. You can quickly make some good food with the campfire and have a nice dinner and even with your friends. This is very common among people who have made cooking a hobby. Now, combining camping or rather cooking in the presence of nature with what you consider a hobby gives much more pleasure.
If you don’t get this, perhaps because you have not been involved in it before, you can imagine making fire and cooking under an umbrella of trees, or cooking just directly opposite a picturesque or aesthetic view of nature, such as beautiful columns of trees or even waterfall. In fact, you may want to do this again and again.
The only downside of cooking at the camp is that it may require you to carry more items, so you will need to check each item you’re taking along for the purpose of cooking and be sure you’ll be needing them.
You may want to make your breakfast something that is easy to cook or make such as quick oatmeal, breakfast bread, eggs, sausage, or cold cereals with milk. Apart from this, fresh fruits also do wonders in the morning.
Now, to make it easy to decide, if you have included perhaps cold cereals with milk as your breakfast on the first camping day, you may need to estimate the number of people that are going to camp with you and then you will need to pack the precise amount that will be enough to prepare for the number of people going to camp with you to avoid excesses.
If you are going to pack any food at all, you will need to include foods that contain carbohydrates and protein. These are the kinds of food that give the energy you will need for the day, especially you’re your morning freshness has been sapped out.
These foods should not necessarily be something much to make; sandwiches, burgers, baked chips, cheeses, or bun are enough to supply you the energy you need to carry on the days’ activities. This can be like a few packets of baked chips for each person.
I can say that dinner is where you reserve all the chunky items in your food list for. Of course, after you have spent the whole day swimming, hiking, boating, all you may want is a very nice and spicy meal. This will be easier if you have stocked your cooler with chunks of cooked chicken, which you can then grill or just warm it up with your campfire.
You may also consider making some barbeque or grill some corns. Other foods that fit into this category are salad, potatoes, grilled burgers, fresh fish or even macaroni. The important things you may need before getting some of these foods is a campfire, hunting, fishing. Hunting and fishing will help you capture some fresh meat you can the grill with your campfire.
I’ll be recommending the following items for you; they might come handy if you consider cooking at the camp:Texsport Heavy Duty Over Fire Camp Grill
However, its price is quite expensive. Read more here Why are Yeti Coolers so expensive

You don’t need to pack any unnecessary food items or even pack food you’ll not need eventually. It is even more important to take this point seriously if you don’t have much food storage. So the following points will help you make the best use of this list.
Having gone through the list of foods you will like to take along to the camp, you should then begin to remove those you know you’re likely not going to need or you’re likely not going to eat. There is no point packing food neither you or any of your family members will eat to the camp.
If you have ever gone camping, there are foods you must have craved that are not available. These are the kinds of food you’ll likely be needing at the camp and these are the essential ones you should first include in your list.
So apart from the list of foods here, you may also add your choice of snacks and meals. Also, perhaps you or your child usually prefer to add brown sugar to some oat, this means that brown sugar is also an important item you should consider taking along.
To follow this point properly, it is more effective to gather all your foods in a particular spot and check everything you have included all along. This may help you remove some and add some others. Your dining table may be a good spot for this.
Or better still, you can estimate the number of foods you will need for the entire period you’ll be spending at the camp, and then pick out the foods you’ll be eating each day. This can also help you avoid packing excess foods. However, you shouldn’t pack exactly the amount of foods you’ll be needing, especially if your camping includes your family or friends; and also to prepare for any unforeseen occurrences.
Another important point as regards this is that you may change your mind when it is time to eat the meal you have planned for that time, and having more than enough foods means you’re not restricted to that particular food. Create options for yourself.
After all, you now have a broad overview of what a camping food list should contain, the kinds of food you should consider for your next camping trip and also how to maximize the use of this camping food list. This is not a definite solution to a camping food list; you can either add or remove, still depending on your choice. However, this article is detailed enough to provide for you the basis of foods that will help ignite your camping experience.
As much as the idea of camping out is fascinating, it will not be fully enjoyed if you don’t choose the best camping gadgets. The reason is simple: a complete and quality camping gear will prevent you from experiencing any occurrences that will distort your peace and adventure, and one of the key tools of camping is a camping tent. However, it is unwise to just choose this tent, therefore there are basic factors necessary to consider. The determining factor of all these factors is the tent brand. Choosing the best tent brand ensures that you get all quality parts in a single tent. While you enjoy comfortable camping, a good tent will help you prevent any accidents. Tent fabric seems to be the most crucial factor you must consider before going for any tent brand. The tent fabric is the material from which the tent is made and has a very strong effect on the overall function of the tent.
Tents that are made of inferior textile or rather brittle nylon can be distorted even by small wind and this will leave you naked in the cold, especially if it is winter. Another reason why the tent fabric is important is that there are some tent fabrics that water can penetrate easily or rather tear when there is any little tension against them.
You can see the effect of poor fabric, so before you consider the brand you would go for, you should know and test the integrity of the fabric used to make the tent. You should also check for the material that is used to reinforce the fabric. Some fabrics are multi-layered to prevent the tent fabric against wear. Examining the tent fabric will help you maximize the fun you intend to derive from your camping experience.
You don’t want to imagine the consequence of using weak straps and loops to hold your tent poles. Weak straps and loops might result into your tent flying off when a little wind passes through it or the tent fabric loosening from the tent poles and falling apart.
To avoid all the aforementioned, it is necessary to check properly the quality of the straps and loops the brand you intend purchasing employ in constructing the tent. Apart from preventing loose fabrics, good straps make it easy for you place fasten your tent just anywhere you find pleasant. You may also want to consider the hold back straps for windows and doors. The function of tent poles in the overall spreading of your camping tent is so essential that you cannot neglect it. Tent poles help you hold up your tent fabric so that the tent doesn’t fall flat or fly away in the middle of the night. Tent poles can be made of various materials such as aluminium, carbon or fiberglass, so the choice you make should be dependent on the strength these materials can offer. For instance, aluminium tent poles offer more strength than either carbon or fiberglass.
In addition, aluminum poles are more durable than many other materials used for making the tent poles; however, aluminium tent poles are more expensive and a bit heavier than those of carbon and fiberglass. As much as aluminium offers much strength, it may also be disadvantageous when you are travelling long distance to your camping environment. Learn to set up a tent pole here

Campfire is an essential part of camping. You’ve got to make a fire in the camp and you do this for various reasons. Having hiked for a long while all you may want to do is sit around a roaring fire to relax your body. And if you’ve got a partner with you, it’s a good way to cool down and gist. Apart from this, you can quickly make some good food with the fire and have a nice dinner and even with your friends.
As a camper myself I can attest to the fact that sometimes the heat emitted from a campfire can be a lifesaver on a very cold night and don't need use your tent heater, but the question remains this: how hot is a campfire? Or how hot should a campfire get? You may be wondering why the question is quite important. Because of so many stories about campfire razing an entire forest, campfire burning a tent, the question about campfire began to stir my mind and then I started to research, even though I have been camping for a very long while. I feel what I discovered after ample of research is worth sharing with fellow campers.
For the sake of simplicity, I’ll point out the maximum temperature expected of a campfire, the average temperature expected and the reasons why it is important to keep this temperature in mind.
The highest temperature of a campfire is approximately 2,012 degrees Fahrenheit (1,100 degrees Celsius). The average temperature is about 930 degrees Fahrenheit (498.9 degrees Celsius). The reason for having this average is that campfire varies, mostly according to the materials used to make the fire. (How hot a campfire is according to the materials will be discussed later in this article)
The main reason why you should know the temperature of a campfire is to be equipped with the right knowledge of the materials you can use around the fire. For instance, the melting point of Aluminum is 1,221 degrees Fahrenheit; if Aluminum is brought near a campfire (2,012 degrees Fahrenheit), what do you expect? The aluminum will melt. Likewise, materials like copper, silver, bronze which are within the range of 1500 degrees Fahrenheit can be melted; even disposable materials like paper, nylon can be burned obviously.
You can see that any carelessness or ignorance about the temperature of a campfire can be devastating. It could lead to a huge forest inferno. I’m sure you don’t want to imagine the losses that it could cause. Read on Campfire Defender to see how dangerous campfire could be.
The most versatile property of oxygen is the fact that it supports combustion process. When most organic compounds is compressed and are burnt in oxygen, the result is fire. In the case of a campfire the amount of oxygen in the atmosphere plays a great role in the temperature that the campfire will reach. By bellowing the fire you are increasing the abundance of oxygen that goes into it and thereby increase the temperature of the fire. The campfire will burn at a very faster rate. However, you have to be careful when lighting a fire in the presence of strong wind. The wind can turn a little tiny flame into an explosive fire and this could be a very catastrophe. Read Hunker to see what oxygen does to fire.
Another factor that determines how hot a campfire could get is the type of wood which you use when making the fire. As campers we get the wood we use for making fire from different species of trees based on preferences or the availability of the wood. But the three common kinds of wood are Tinder, Kindling and fuel woods.
These are tiny pieces of flammable materials which could be shreds of woods or even papers. These materials catch fire very fast as they are easy to ignite. They are mostly used for starting a fire but this tinder burns at very low temperature.
These are also flammable materials which are somewhat bigger than tinder. They are like the second-stage materials when making fire. You use the tinder to ignite the fire, and kindling to sustain the fire. The examples of kindling are little sticks, twigs and this type burns at a temperature a little higher than that of tinder.
This is like the third-stage process. Having ignited the fire using tinder, keep the fire burning using kindling, the fire will die if there’s no source of fuel. This is when fuelwood becomes necessary. Although fuel woods catch the fire slowly, they are the main fuel for a campfire. They can be as small as three inches in length but for the long sustenance of the fire, you can use large logs. These fuel woods are sometimes referred to as timbers and of all the three types of wood, they burn at the highest temperature. For more information on type of camping firewood read Trails
If you want a moderate heat—that is, wood that burns slowly and steadily to release enough heat to keep you warm, cedar tree is a fine one. You can sleep well on a cold night while cedarwood burns. Also, the aroma of this cedar wood when burning is quite appealing. It’s like you are savoring some flavor while having a good night rest. I personally really like to use this wood species as it prevents the winter cold from getting deep into me. And also, of course, that cedarwood scent.
If there’s any wood that seems to be perfectly created for the purpose of camping, it is oak wood. And you know what? It is readily available. Almost at any campsite, you find an oak wood. If you are able to get some dry logs, you can chop it into smaller sizes for good ignition. Oak wood burns slowly and steadily and still generate enough heat to keep you warm.
This wood is good because of its ability to burn even when it is still very alive. Ashwood contains little moisture, so while ash tree still sprouts green leaves, you can chop it and it will burn and produce the amount of heat you need. If you want to make a campfire for cooking, ash wood is good. It releases little smoke which means your eyes cannot be teary and your cooking utensils is devoid of blackness.
Most of the trees mentioned here produce moderate heat to keep you warm. But if you need a wood species that produces more heat than any of the above, perhaps because you want to roast a bushmeat you just hunted, hickory wood is good. It makes cooking very easy and fast even while it may also keep you warm.
Unless you have an instrument for measuring temperatures like thermometer or thermocouple, you cannot actually tell the temperature of an object, including fire. But nevertheless, there is a means or technique you can employ to know the temperature of fire in the absence of a measuring instrument. And this is by observing the color of the fire. This method can also be extended to a campfire. I’ll show you show how you can determine the temperature of your campfire by looking at the color.
If the flame of the campfire reveals deep red color, this signifies that the temperature of that flame is around 1,110 degrees Fahrenheit. Otherwise, if the flame color is between orange and yellow, the temperature is probably around 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit. In a case where the color of the flame is showing blue, this blue is the hottest or core part of the campfire and it’s about 2,730 degrees Fahrenheit.

I have outlined above the several factors that determine how hot a campfire could get based on the different materials from which the fire is made. So you can now literally answer the question by yourself.
How hot is a campfire? The heat emitted from a campfire is dependent on the types of wood and amount of oxygen fed into the fire. But if, on the other hand, you want to know how hot should your campfire get? This question can only be answered by you. The heat you need from your campfire depends on the purpose which you want the fire to serve.
For whatever reason you want to make a campfire, you should never let the temperature exceed 2150 degrees Fahrenheit. This is to avoid the catastrophe effect of an explosion caused by a campfire. Also, you should please endeavor to take the necessary precautions or safety measures to prevent fire outbreak.Feel free to contribute your opinions in the comment section below. Cheers!
Leaving outdoors in a tent for a recreational or vacation activity is what many people know as camping. This is a good way to take a break from the mundane office work or to find inner peace in the presence of nature. Your camping experience may have been an overnight or a weekend stay outdoors. It could as well be a day trip, depending on how you prefer to enjoy your camping.
Apart from the individual reason for camping which I have mentioned, it is a good way to have a family vacation. This allows you to create an intimate bond between the busy parents and kids, and even between the couple themselves.
However, it is not everyone that knows the types of camping available; knowing the different types of camping can help you try a different kind of adventure. Below are the types of camping you should know:
This type of camping is basically for people that love to explore new places and see the wild in addition to the nature surrounding it. Adventure camping usually comprises the day adventure and the night camping. For those who love the day adventure, you can travel during the day or even hike over a long distance as you come across new areas or various parts of the wild, and then at night you prepare your camp in an environment where you’re sure of total safety, so that you can have a good rest. The main reason for an adventure camping is to see the world in a different way, enjoy the bliss of the wilderness, and relish the excitement of being in accord with nature.
This is by far the most common type of camping. This is because of the minimalistic way which it is done and the fact that you can go for this type of camping with your family or have a picnic with your friends during this camping. Tent camping is fun and the experience is worth it for both the parents and kids.
In this type of camping, you don’t really go into the wild because there are campsites made available for tent camping. These campsites can provide you with restrooms, showers, laundry rooms. Sometimes there could be a swimming pool, game room, and some other amenities to ensure that you derive the best from the campsite.
One thing about this type of camping is that some campsites may require you to make reservations, and this is common in the summer. You may want to make this reservation very early or rather get to the campsite very early so that you have a good spot for yourself. Also, tent camping can require you to spend some money on the campsite charges but it is worth it.
This type of camping is and should be absolutely reserved for veteran campers because it is the most radical type of camping. It is essentially done as a test of survival as it requires the camper to be self-sufficient throughout the period of camping and then makes it out of the wild alive.
One aspect of this type of camping typically means that the camper would go to an isolated spot, make camp there and then fight for survival basically on the things that can be found in that environment. Campers who indulge in survivalist camping get their foods from the forest either by fishing, hunting or looking for fruits and edible plants. The environment for this form of survivalist camping is regarded as a base camp, and one very important thing campers should be wary of is the environment where wild animals lurk.
Another aspect of survivalist camping is the one the camper is dropped in a remote area in the wilderness and then the overall aim of the campers is to find his/her way and walk back to a habitable area. This is quite challenging because the camper must find a way to survive by looking for food and water day by day as he/she progresses to find a way out of the wild.
Survivalist camping is good for advanced campers who want to test vigorously their camping skill; this downside of this type of camping is the danger it poses, for example, rain and your body very cold.
The basic idea behind RV camping is to go camping while carrying your home features with you. This type of camping allows you to enjoy the pleasure and comfort of your home in the presence of nature. It is usually done by transport, with a van inside which the loads are kept. Some people are of the opinion that RV camping is not typically a type of camping but because this type of camping has its own suitability, it can be regarded as one.
RV camping is the best for old people who love to camp while also enjoy the luxury of being at home. Also, for someone who just loves to camp without discomfort, RV camping allows you to bring your bed, table, stove, refrigerator, oven, even TV and sound systems to the campsite. It’s like you’re in your house surrounded by the bliss of nature. In short, I call this type of camping two-in-one camping.
RV camping doesn’t necessarily require you to pay for a campsite. You only need to pack your stuff on a van and anywhere you park your van is literally your campsite. The downside of this type of camping is that your van cannot take you to a place where someone who travels by foot can go. However, if you enjoy weekend trips or even a longer road trip, RV camping offers you so much.
If there is any type of camping that is now attracting campers, it is probably bicycle camping. Most bicycle campers love this type of camping for the flexibility of camping it provides as well as the economic advantage. Bicycle camping doesn’t require you to spend so much on camping. Unlike RV camping, you don’t need fuel to power your bicycle or a big space to park your bicycle.
Bicycle camping offers you the flexibility as you can camp in a hostel or even a hotel or wherever you want to go camp. More benefits of bicycle camping are that you can travel around all around to see the world beyond your immediate environment only by riding your bicycle. So if you are the type who loves to ride a bicycle, sees the world, loves adventure, as well as traveling, bicycle camping is the best for you.
If you like to enjoy the adventure of sailing upon water and the solitude of traveling on water, canoe camping is the best bet. It offers a sure way to relax and relieve yourself the stress of the city life.
Because you can travel farther and explore some areas which hiking or bicycle camping cannot permit, campers prefer canoe camping. But it is a form of camping that requires skill. You must be good with the paddles and the extent and location which you choose for your camping should be totally dependent on your skill. Your skill level should be measured by whether your canoe camping involves fishing, enjoying the anesthesia of the sea, or just taking a break from the congested city into a solitude.
Another good thing about canoe camping is that it permits you to take along with you some equipment since you can easily place them in your canoe. However, there is a disadvantage on the number of people that can take part in this camping because, of course, a canoe is not fit for many people. That’s why canoe camping is best for solitude, or just partners.
If you find the idea of canoe camping fascinating, one thing should be very wary of is the weather condition. A calm stream of water can become an extremely frightening wave should there be a heavy downpour. So you may want to take note of the weather forecast as regard your camping location and prepare properly before you leave. If you don’t desire hiking, RV or bicycle camping, you may want to try canoe water, especially if you enjoy the bliss of cool breeze while wading through the water.
You have seen the best type of camping for different campers. I’d like to tell you that there are still many more types of camping, but this six seems to be a fascinating camping in which campers find pleasure.
To summarize, the types of camping mentioned here are: adventure camping, tent camping, survivalist camping, RV camping, bicycle camping and canoe camping. I’ve done well to detail out what each of those camping entails and I hope you find the form of camping that appeals to you. However, whichever camping form you find suitable don’t forget to keep in mind the disadvantage that it possesses so that you can take care of it before even deciding to launch out for camping.
